East Luwu Regency takes part in the largest trade fair in Indonesia on a world scale, the 2018 Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) which was held at ICE BSD (Indonesia Convention and Exhibition Bumi Serpong Damai), Pagedangan, Tangerang Regency, Wednesday (24/10/2018).
The district, nicknamed “Bumi Batara Guru”, exhibited its flagship plantation product, namely pepper. The pepper on display is a typical East Luwu Towuti pepper. Towuti pepper has a characteristic aroma that is spicier and lasts longer than other types of pepper in Indonesia.
According to the head of the East Luwu Regency Trade, Cooperatives and SME Service, Rosmiyati Alwi, East Luwu Regency’s participation in the international exhibition was to introduce East Luwu Typical Pepper to the international market.
